Learning Objectives: How to safely assemble, dismantle and relocate low level access units without risk of personal injury to the delegate or others.

Additional Information:

Course Content: Current Legislation, Regulations and Guidance affecting work at height with low level access units, PASMA Code of Practice, Publicly Available Specification, assembling, altering and dismantling low level units incorporating current best practice for fall protection, inspection of completed low level units and completion of Tower Inspection Records; hazards affecting the use of low level units.

Award: A PASMA Certificate and PhotoCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the Theory and Assessment sessions at the level they attend the course which has a five year validity period.

PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association) is the recognised focus and authority for mobile access towers and provides and governs the industry standard training scheme for mobile access towers as required by the Work at Height Regulations.

Your course will take place at one of Hire Station's Training Centres of Excellence, which are located throughout our UK branch network. You will be led by experienced and friendly staff members who guide you through your training with ease.

Course Details:

  • Duration: Half day course, lasting a minimum of 3 and half hours
  • Method: Instruction both in theory and practical sessions
  • Assessment: Closed book course with a pass mark of 80% in both parts
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Suitable head/footwear/eye/gloves
  • Instructor Delegate Ratio: Maximum 1:12
  • Supporting Documents: Course content and note booklet and code of practice
  • Qualifications and Experience: No qualifications or experience necessary

Our branch staff will show you how to use the machine in the branch, but please also note the hirer should collect so he / she knows how to use the equipment.  If you are collecting from us on behalf of someone else, please be aware we cannot be held responsible for any operating errors or faults.

When collecting from a local Hire Station branch please make sure you take two forms of ID and one must be photographic.  Hire Station may also require a deposit when you collect, so please ensure you take a credit card. Deposits will of course be returned when you return the item back to the branch.

You can return the equipment you hire to ANY Hire Station branch.
