Thomas has delivered consistent and impressive performance throughout his time as an apprentice.

Thomas began his apprenticeship in 2018 in our Liverpool branch where he proved to be the right candidate through the sheer levels of enthusiasm he showed towards the tasks he was given, together with exemplary punctuation, team interaction and eagerness to learn new skills. As a member of the Liverpool branch, Thomas excelled himself as a team member and proved to be a valuable asset towards achieving the business's daily demanding targets whilst maintaining the highest level of workmanship.

Thomas has further excelled himself as a student at the prestigious Myerscough College in Preston studying CSkills Awards Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction Plant and Machinery Maintenance. His persistence to learn and sheer determination to succeed was soon recognised by the CITB, college staff and apprentice mentors, where he excelled in all topics, achieving target percentages higher than those given and to exceptionally high standards. Due to the hard and dedicated work Thomas has shown within his studies, Myerscough College recognised his achievements, awarding him College Performer of the Year 2019, an award indisputably deserved for his efforts and accomplishments.

Thomas’s apprentice reviews conducted by his mentor – Merek McManus have shown that even after a short time with the company, his keenness to learn and progress became apparent. His understanding of using tools effectively for given tasks and implementing thorough off-hire inspection procedures maintains equipment availability to the standards expected by the company. Thomas has proved that he is competent in achieving these standards and provides our customers with equipment that not only attain high levels of quality but also meets company compliance and customer safety expectations.

Thomas really is an exemplary apprentice that definitely stands out as an individual, driven to succeed in both his academic and working life, with high levels of enthusiasm and an impressive working attitude. Thomas’s ability to deliver high standards of workmanship and his drive to succeed was recognised by myself and the Compliance team therefore we proposed the nomination for the Apprentice of the Year award as well as his deserved achievement from Myerscough College in 2019.

Thomas is a valued member of Brandon Hire Station who is inspiring as an achiever and a distinguishable attribute to the future success of the company. In pure recognition of his upmost dedication and commitment, we are proud to have nominated Thomas Sealeaf for the prestigious award as Apprentice of the Year 2020.

It is worthy of note that our colleagues in Brandon Hire Station have won many individual awards over recent years, this demonstrates that we have award winning individuals in the business that we are proud of, and it shows that we have the best people in the industry working for us.
