ISO 9001 & 14001 accreditation

ISO Certification is essential in demonstrating that a company meets the expectations of its customers. Within certain industries ISO certification can be a contractual and even a legal requirement.

Hire Station is certified in 2 separate forms of ISO accreditation:

9001:2008

ISO 9001:2008 is built around specifications for a quality management system. This means the organisation in question needs to be able to effectively demonstrate 2 things:

  • Its ability to consistently provide products that meet customer needs as well as statutory requirements
  • Aim to enhance their customers satisfaction through an effective application including the strive for continual improvement.

All of the ISO 9001:2008 specifications and requirements are designed on a generic basis. This allows them to be applied to any organisation no matter the type, size or production capacity.

14001:2004

ISO 14001:2004 is designed to create a mapped framework for companies to use to create an effective EMS (Environmental Management System).

14001:2004 produces a set up to which a company can follow to create an effective and reliable EMS which has a positive effect of:

  • Reducing waste
  • Driving down costs
  • Improving resource efficiency

All this helps us provide a better experience for our customers.

Using ISO 14001:2004 helps provide assurance to numerous areas of management within the company as well as our customers that environmental impact is being taken seriously with the goal of improving the efficiency of the business.

The certification has helped numerous companies meet new environmental and economic challenges with great effect, providing a positive reaction to its production.

All ISO 1400 standards including 14001 are voluntary and have the main aim of assisting companies to constantly and positively improve their environmental performance whilst complying with the necessary legislations.

ISO 14001:2004 is a generic management model and can be effectively applied to any business looking to improve and manage their resources more effectively.

Also the ‘health and safety’ aspect was given a great emphasis to help protect employers, employees and customers.

The framework provided via the accreditation helps organisations to:
