We strive to minimise accidents and dangerous occurrences. We aim to continually improve standards of health and safety within all our businesses and with our customers. The Group sets an overall policy for the management of health and safety.

All businesses, within the VP group have clear policies and procedures and appropriate risk assessment techniques backed by training and clear communication.

Training is focused not only on specific hazards but also the wider obligations of management. These activities are overseen by appropriately qualified and experienced health and safety advisers and are subject to regular audit, both internally and externally.

The Health and Safety performance is closely monitored within the business. This incorporates analysis of accidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences. Where accidents, near misses or dangerous occurrences happen these are investigated in order for them to be fully understood and for appropriate action to be taken to minimise the risk of occurrence.
